There is a heartwarming story called the Christmas Truce of 1914.
There was a ceasefire on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day where the German and British troops didn’t fight but came out of their trenches and said “Merry Christmas” in their native tongues.
The story is so impactful that many artists have sung about this occasion. If you can find it, my favorite version of the song is called “Belleau Wood” by Garth Brooks.

This goes to show that in the middle of tough times there is always good to be found. It also helps you question if we can all get along for a day in one of the most intense times in the world’s history…maybe, just maybe we could try to do that for a week, then a month and then a year.
Yes, this is a bit altruistic, but I believe in the goodness of people.
I hope that during this Christmas season that you can have a pause from the raging media battles, the craziness of financial markets and spend well deserved time with your family and loved ones.
Merry Christmas!
We have some exciting things happening in 2022, I hope you do as well.
Stay tuned!
